Printmaking Methods: Tricks & Tips – Marina Ancona

This intensive workshop will include a range of monotype techniques, proper use of oil-based inks, images developed from second pulls, and printing from Xerox, plus collage. The group will also learn to create unique paintings on paper with the multiple plate system, layering, application of paint, and stenciling. Participants will learn all types of tricks and tips for achieving their desired aesthetic. Come with ideas and be ready to experiment; artists of all levels and media are welcome.

Marina Ancona founded and operates 10 Grand Press, an independent fine art print shop in Brooklyn, New York. She works with a diverse group of artists to create innovative original works on paper. She has collaborated with emerging and well-established artists for over 15 years in print shops in Santa Fe, New York, and Paris, France.
